The curbside tarp “Carex” has been available for pre-sale on the Japanese crowdfunding site “Makuake” since April 24, and has been gaining popularity with sales exceeding 21 million yen. Carex is a large car-side tarp with a floor space of 350cm x 280cm and a height of 230cm. In Japan, due to COVID-19, the number of people traveling in their own cars is increasing, while those staying at inns and hotels are being discouraged, and outdoor manufacturers are releasing new car-side tarps.
